A Refreshing Glow

Radiofrequency treatments help combat deeper wrinkles and skin laxity, while laser treatments are great for improving skin texture and pigmentation. TYPES OF TREATMENTS

Photofacial/Selective Waveband Technology

OVERVIEW

Selective Waveband Technology (SWT) treatments offer many of the same benefits as a non-ablative laser but require very little downtime afterward. SWT works by shining a broad-spectrum light on the treatment area, which penetrates multiple layers of the skin. This non-invasive treatment can be used to address myriad issues like rosacea, acne scars, skin pigmentation, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

While SWT requires little to no downtime, patients usually require multiple sessions, with 3-4 weeks between each treatment.

frax 1550 laser

OVERVIEW

The Frax 1550 is a fractional non-ablative laser. It applies heat to numerous small target areas of the dermis, like pinpoints on a map. By creating this “mosaic” of treated and untreated skin, the Frax 1550 tightens and amps up collagen production, renews the surface of the skin, and expedites the healing process all at the same time.

inside scoop

Frax 1550 procedures work wonders on acne scars and fine lines. The benefits of this type of laser are twofold: limited downtime and fewer side effects after the procedure. Patients can return to their social lives much faster than with other laser treatment options.

Fractora

OVERVIEW

Fractora treats a broad range of symptoms including fine lines, deep lines and textural abnormalities with deep dermal tightening and collagen remodeling. It’s signature process combines an array of pins with radio-frequency emissions that both penetrate the skin, creating small areas of localized heat. These micro-lesions reawaken collagen production, which helps restore skin’s youthful appearance.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

Because a small portion of skin is removed during the process, Fractora is considered an ablative treatment, but patients can heal faster than other ablative treatments like lasers.

Morpheus8

OVERVIEW

The next-generation Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency for more comfortable fractional resurfacing that also stimulates collagen production and deep dermal tightening. It targets deep layers of the skin with little to no damage to the dermis. It can be used on the face and neck, and also to tighten skin laxity on the abdomen and other areas of the body like arms, knees, and more.

Inside Scoop

Morpheus8 is excellent for tightening laxity in facial skin and treating discoloration and acne scarring. It’s also excellent for the neck and abdomen. Great for those who aren’t ready or don’t want a facelift or abdominal lift, but would like additional skin tightening.
